Welcome to Long Covid Support Scotland

The Long Covid Support Scotland website is designed to help people living with Long Covid.  The site provides short, bite sized videos that inform and advise on the wide range of common symptoms experienced by people with Long Covid.

Please read our disclaimer before using the resources on this site.

Pauline Waugh, co-founder of Long Covid Support Scotland and The Cheyne Gang, recently appeared as a guest on Scotland's Singing for Health Network's podcast. You can listen to the episode on the YouTube link above, and you can find out more about Scotland's Singing for Health Network (including a map of all groups in the network) here

What is Long Covid?

Long Covid is an illness that occurs after a Covid-19 infection.   The symptoms include fatigue, breathlessness, headaches, brain fog, palpitations, anxiety, poor sleep and loss of the senses of taste and smell.  To be classed as Long Covid, the symptoms must be present for at least twelve weeks.

Symptom Management

Pacing is key to managing many of the symptoms of Long Covid.  On this site, you will find advice on ways to optimize your energy levels by, for example, eating well, controlling breathing, exercising gently, relaxing and managing your bedtime routine to aid restful sleep.
